About Us: What makes us different?

JanesWeb was launched in August 2008 providing simple and effective web presence websites for small businesses and sole traders.

As the name suggests, JanesWeb is owned and managed by a Jane: Jane Humphreys. Jane is also our main website designer/developer. JanesWeb now has a portfolio of over 10 successfully completed website projects for sole traders, small businesses and charities. JanesWeb is also responsible for maintaining and project managing the improvements to the Thames Valley Farmers' Market Co-operative website.

So, what makes us different? The answer is the wealth of work and life experience that Jane brings to JanesWeb. As a result, we can talk your language and we put customer service right at the top of our list of priorities. We won't invoice you until you're completely happy with our work.

Our way of thinking...

Here at JanesWeb we understand that some organisations need a simple informative presence on the web that helps their customers understand what they do in a clear and attractive fashion.

JanesWeb also knows that every organisation is different so the presentation of the website in the brand colours and using the logo is really important to how the organisation is perceived by the outside world.

In this world of electronic communication it was then natural for JanesWeb to look at e-Newsletters applying the same flexible, bespoke approach as our web design. We have found that some of our clients have been using a standard template but are looking for something that reflects them in a more creative way. As well as designing we will also distribute and manage the distribution and track your newsletter.

As a small business ourselves we know how budgets can be limited so we offer value services specifically aimed at small organisations including charities. We have worked with a number of small organisations who enjoy our personal services, flexibility and reasonable prices.

  • JavaScript - for interactive website content, for exmaple, a Google map to show your location or to present an image gallery of your products
  • ASP - for ease of website maintenance and for security
  • Joomla! - websites you can manage yourself.
Graphic Design: JanesWeb provides simple, low-cost, website graphics. If you want more advanced graphics or perhaps a new logo, we can work with your own graphic designer or we can supply a separate quote for graphic design work. We can also source low-cost licensed images for use throughout your website and marketing material.
